Painting Holidays at Sea-view Cottage, Saltburn-by-the-sea
Our flexible modern painting holidays and day trips are suitable for all levels of experience from beginner through to MA and research level and are available as individual tuition or for small groups of up to six maximum. We are flexible in offering painting workshops from one day through to full week visiting artists stays and can offer self catering accommodation if required depending upon availability.

Below are some examples of the sort of 'ghost gear' picture frames that you would be able to choose from, some of our piles of stock rescued by deep sea divers and always remembering the marine life we are trying to prevent from harm. All materials will have been industrially cleaned and made safe. The main bodies will be made up for you to dress further with off the shelf selected found objects and retrievals that are site-specific to our field-work areas. Bespoke Artists Residencies. for Schools, Colleges and Universities Nationwide.
We are experienced in the design and provision of artists residencies at a variety of venues and for a wide range of ages and levels of ability from pre-prep (age 4-6 years) through, secondary school, Upper 6th form, 'A Level', BTEC, 18+Foundation Course, Degree and Postgraduate levels. We relate very well to groups of people from all backgrounds and catchment areas. Adam is full DBS checked and works closely along with the regular school art tutors technical staff and management to deliver suitable extra curricular activities to complement the existing coursework and timetables.
We provide artists talks/seminars, a visiting artist option with individual student tutorials along with group lectures, PowerPoint presentations with following Q&A sessions, and/or painting and drawing demonstrations fabricated to suit your own particular requirements, hands-on practical group modern painting workshops (indoors or outdoors research based field work), life drawing sessions for groups and/or individuals, portfolio advice and building, to exhibition planning, curating, installation and management.
Nationally delivered bespoke packages are designed individually and are suitable across Primary, Secondary and High schools, Academies, Art Colleges, Universities through to travelling to O.A.P centres, local art clubs and groups for adults experiencing mental health issues as well as catering for individual tuition and small groups at our artists retreat studio/workshop/gallery spaces in Saltburn-by-the-sea

About Sea-view Cottage
Sea-view Cottage studio gallery is an artists retreat type guesthouse on the East Coast close to the North York Moors with sea views. An 1870's house built high upon a hillside overlooking the town of Saltburn itself. Lingdale is a smal rural village just a few miles from Saltburn-by-the-sea and we are surrounded by farmland and a wildlife meadow. It is run by Adam and Diane who are live-in landlordsand we have both indoor and outdoor art studio's and gallery spaces.
The four bedroom guesthouse has shower and bathrooms with w/c both upstairs and down. A shared communal kitchen, dinig room/study area. The longe has sea views, log fire and country furniture with free WIFI. Free roadside parking or down the access lane to the rear. Lingdale is 5 miles from Redcar, 10 miles from Middlesborough and 22 miles North of Whitby. We are currently advertising withthe spareroom.com website for a medium to long term lodger and are looking for a proffessional person to take one of the large single bedrooms for a monthly rent of £600 pcm including all bills, house insurance and council tax.
